Individuals would assemble and vote, and Rousseau believed that their decisions for the general will would always be ideal, as the decisions would reflect private wills and private desires for happiness; since all members have submitted totally to the state, all will be benefactors of their decisions, and all will benefit equally. No judgments could be made about individual people; similarly, Rousseau thought that individual interests that threatened other individual interests would cancel each other out, leaving the ideal general will. Factionalism, the development of partial societies that could represent anything less than the general will, would be prevented by multiplying factions.The application of Rousseaus contract would not solve the problem of inequality, since the social contract would necessarily defend the property rights that enforce inequality. More troubling, the unequal application of taxation, and the development of social services and programs (particularly those aimed at eradicating poverty) could call into question the matter of whether individuals would share equal relationships to the state. Moreover, Rousseau suggests no mechanism that would prevent wealthy interests from overpowering or dominating the system through, for example, controlling the media or simply buying votes. If the propeller tips are curled backwards then it suggests that the propeller was rotating with low RPM relative to forward velocity and if the propeller was rotating with high RPM with respect to the speed of the aircraft, then the tip curls in the forward direction. Bending is caused due to crash impact and its direction will be opposite to that of the direction of rotation is the propeller is powered. Low aircraft speed and high power bends the propeller in the forward direction. But if the aircraft creates an impact at right angles to the ground the propeller bends in the backward direction. Vibration, imbalance and improper maintenance also bends the propeller blades (Kroes and Wild, 2010). Misalignments in the crankshaft and bearings are good indicators of bending because problems in the propeller are transmitted to the crankshaft and bearings. If the engine is not rotating then it could break the propeller blade, scratches along propeller blade face is due to propeller rotation. Chord-wise scratches are caused when the propeller rotates at the time of impact, but this sign not necessary indicate that the engine was running it can also be caused due to wind-milling (Kroes and Wild, 2010). Rotation of the propeller can cause slash marks on the ground which could be used to estimate the RPM of the propeller. Some of the good practices which could prevent propellant damages are to regularly check all the parameters like temperature of all bearings and shaft bearings, maintain oil level in the tank at all times, maintain the pressure, perform regular checks near the stem and perform overboard checks, regularly check for leakages, regular hydraulic oil analysis should be carried out, always start the engine at zero pitch angle and always run the engine at constant speed (Anderson, 2015). Propeller installation is a highly complex and expensive procedure which has to be carried out under extreme care and damages due to improper installation should be avoided with the highest priority so as to control propeller damages. I have seen first hand the pain and devastation the law against gay marriage can cause. We need to legalize gay marriage. If you are connected to them in such a way that you feel eternally bonded to them, that you couldnt possibly love another person like that ever again, who are we to tell them they can not pursue the happiness they want? The average person would agree that one of the happiest moments in a persons life is their wedding day. Imagine how it would feel to never experience the glamorous day of your wedding. You didnt get to pick out a cake, or get your hair and makeup done professionally. You never get to pick out your wedding dress, or your wedding tux. You would never get that special day all because the law states that gay marriage is illegal, which is pretty much saying its the wrong thing to do. No, you love who you love no matter the sex. This law contradicts our constitution, and needs to be changed. They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the holy race with the peoples around them. And the leaders and officials have led the way in this unfaithfulness (Ezra 9:2). This is a quote from the Bible, where it claims mixing races is wrong, and unholy. The bible states biracial marriage and sex is wrong. But we still allow people do to it. So many people claim that the reason they are against gay marriage is because God hates homosexuals, and It says in the Bible that being gay is wrong. First off, God hates no one. He is accepting of all, even those who arent accepting of him. Secondly, in America we have freedom of religion, meaning you can be a part of any religion you wish, and practice anyway you choose. If someone claims to be a Christian, but is also gay, are you going to tell them they cant be part of your religion? Im sorry, but last time I checked you dont make the rules, and you dont speak for God; He will allow anyone to follow Him, whether you like it or not. If we are accepting of biracial marriage, where clearly it states in the Bible to be wrong, then why cant we accept gay marriage as well? I personally dont see why we make such a big deal about gay marriage, just have it legalized. If you arent homosexual then what does it matter to you? It doesnt matter if gay marriage is legal or not, gays will still be together, they will still hold hands, kiss, do whatever they want, because they want to. The only thing that isnt there is a certificate saying they are legally married, give them what they desire. Instead of having debates over gay marriage we can have debates over more important issues. I have yet to understand why in twenty-five states you are allowed to marry your first cousin, Kentucky being one of them, but gay marriage is only allowed in nine states. Somethings not right there. Ive made it clear that people will argue against me, especially over the religious aspect, but we cant live by everything the Bible says. Heres another quote from the Bible, â€Å"Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven (Luke 6:37). Judging is wrong, and because so many people love to throw the Bible at my face over this topic, how about you practice what you preach? No one wants to see any type of couple making out anywhere, man and woman. Female and female, or male and male. No one wants to see it. They will be ridiculed anyway, so I doubt they will want to bring more attention to themselves as it is. Why not legalize gay marriage? Because the Bible says not to? If we listened to every single word in the Bible, life would be very different. The world and the people in it have evolved; we live differently than people did 100s of years ago. The Constitution is the go to source when deciding laws, so why do we still ignore the fine print of, all men are created equal, as well as certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness? Legalizing gay marriage will bring our nation closer, and make our citizens more happy. America is the land of the free but we still have laws against our own citizens that stop them from doing one of the most common forms of pursuing happiness, which is marriage. Clean Well Lighted Place A Clean, Well Lighted Place is a story of lights and shadows, of the coexistence of ''being'' and ''nothingness''. An old man sits outside the cafe, on the terrace, where all the tables are empty except then one he sits at. He hides himself in the shadow - the perfect hiding-place, a hide-out for a person who wants to remain invisible and unnoticed to the people he observes. They - the observed ones - do not even feel his presence, so close and tangible, although there are some who know all about him. ? The undisturbed and untroubled peace of night is his ''prime time''. He feels the difference then. To a deaf person silence of the night brings relief and consolation after the day full of ''noise''. That relief he encounters in the shadow, under the tree, the leafs of which protects him from the electric light, although he is one of these strange people who feel the strong need of light in the night. ? The ill-will and aversion of one of the waiters towards the old man and, on the other hand, the mercy and sympathy of the other is the picture how shadow and light interpenetrate each other, although they stand out for completely opposite values. The younger of these two has a wife waiting in bed for him, and is not very willing to stay in the cafe through the whole night, waiting until the last person pays the bill and goes home. That is why he is so upset with the old man, who - being already drunk - asks for another and another drink. The hour is what matters to him. He wants to go home, to "hide in the shadow" and to find some kind of peace of mind. In this way he seems to resemble the old man - they both avoid light, for both of them the shadow has got more to do with their lives than light. ? The older waiter appears to be the one who assumes a more friendly attitude towards those people who stay late at the cafe. His deep conviction that there are some who need a light for the night is so strong that it does not allow him to close up early enough because there may be some one who needs the cafe each night. And the fact that there are bodegas (basements) open all night does not influence his way of thinking. This is this cafe that is so attractive to people for it is clean and pleasant. And - what is probably more important - it is well lighted. All such a cafe needs is light. But he also mentions shadows of the leaves - the shapes created by light - by which he potentially means the place hidden in the shadow, a shelter for all those who need light in the night but observe it being covered by shadow. ?
